Há uma coisa que devem saber sobre mim: Eu não sou de me queixar.
Sou, é verdade, de reclamar. Reclamo do tempo, de quando se come peixe, das dores de pés quando estou muito tempo de pé no mesmo sítio. Quando a comida tem demasiado sal. Quando está demasiado picante (ahhh, esperem, esta não. Gotta love it spicy!). Reclamo da forma dos meus joelhos. De filmes lamechas. De coisas ridiculas. Até do autocarro ter propensão para atrasos em dias especialmente frios e logo a seguir do trânsito, já que a probabilidade de chegar atrasada é grande.
Mas queixar-me, per se, não.
Não sou de falar das coisas que me corem mal na vida. Não me queixo das discussões nem insultos, nem todos os problemas da vida normal. Do tempo reclamo. Da vida, não me queixo.
Não porque a vida não é má, não. Porque não sou assim. Não me queixo de ninguém, a não ser que esteja mesmo chateada mas, para quem me conhece, sabe que eu tenho uma paciência abastada para pessoas. Para coisas estupidas não. Mas para lidar com pessoas, compenso.
Por isso, apesar de eu hoje estar num dia em que a coisa está tão boa que eu tenho de me queixar, não o vou fazer. Ou não aqui.
O que eu venho fazer aqui é dizer: FODA-SE!

Wikileaks

IN 1958 a young Rupert Murdoch, then owner and editor of Adelaide’s The News, wrote: “In the race between secrecy and truth, it seems inevitable that truth will always win.”
His observation perhaps reflected his father Keith Murdoch’s expose that Australian troops were being needlessly sacrificed by incompetent British commanders on the shores of Gallipoli. The British tried to shut him up but Keith Murdoch would not be silenced and his efforts led to the termination of the disastrous Gallipoli campaign.
Nearly a century later, WikiLeaks is also fearlessly publishing facts that need to be made public.
I grew up in a Queensland country town where people spoke their minds bluntly. They distrusted big government as something that could be corrupted if not watched carefully. The dark days of corruption in the Queensland government before the Fitzgerald inquiry are testimony to what happens when the politicians gag the media from reporting the truth.
These things have stayed with me. WikiLeaks was created around these core values. The idea, conceived in Australia , was to use internet technologies in new ways to report the truth.
WikiLeaks coined a new type of journalism: scientific journalism. We work with other media outlets to bring people the news, but also to prove it is true. Scientific journalism allows you to read a news story, then to click online to see the original document it is based on. That way you can judge for yourself: Is the story true? Did the journalist report it accurately?
Democratic societies need a strong media and WikiLeaks is part of that media. The media helps keep government honest. WikiLeaks has revealed some hard truths about the Iraq and Afghan wars, and broken stories about corporate corruption.
People have said I am anti-war: for the record, I am not. Sometimes nations need to go to war, and there are just wars. But there is nothing more wrong than a government lying to its people about those wars, then asking these same citizens to put their lives and their taxes on the line for those lies. If a war is justified, then tell the truth and the people will decide whether to support it.
If you have read any of the Afghan or Iraq war logs, any of the US embassy cables or any of the stories about the things WikiLeaks has reported, consider how important it is for all media to be able to report these things freely.
WikiLeaks is not the only publisher of the US embassy cables. Other media outlets, including Britain ‘s The Guardian, The New York Times, El Pais in Spain and Der Spiegel in Germany have published the same redacted cables.
Yet it is WikiLeaks, as the co-ordinator of these other groups, that has copped the most vicious attacks and accusations from the US government and its acolytes. I have been accused of treason, even though I am an Australian, not a US, citizen. There have been dozens of serious calls in the US for me to be “taken out” by US special forces. Sarah Palin says I should be “hunted down like Osama bin Laden”, a Republican bill sits before the US Senate seeking to have me declared a “transnational threat” and disposed of accordingly. An adviser to the Canadian Prime Minister’s office has called on national television for me to be assassinated. An American blogger has called for my 20-year-old son, here in Australia, to be kidnapped and harmed for no other reason than to get at me.
And Australians should observe with no pride the disgraceful pandering to these sentiments by Prime Minister Gillard and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have not had a word of criticism for the other media organisations. That is because The Guardian, The New York Times and Der Spiegel are old and large, while WikiLeaks is as yet young and small.
We are the underdogs. The Gillard government is trying to shoot the messenger because it doesn’t want the truth revealed, including information about its own diplomatic and political dealings.
Has there been any response from the Australian government to the numerous public threats of violence against me and other WikiLeaks personnel? One might have thought an Australian prime minister would be defending her citizens against such things, but there have only been wholly unsubstantiated claims of illegality. The Prime Minister and especially the Attorney-General are meant to carry out their duties with dignity and above the fray. Rest assured, these two mean to save their own skins. They will not.
Every time WikiLeaks publishes the truth about abuses committed by US agencies, Australian politicians chant a provably false chorus with the State Department: “You’ll risk lives! National security! You’ll endanger troops!” Then they say there is nothing of importance in what WikiLeaks publishes. It can’t be both. Which is it?
It is neither. WikiLeaks has a four-year publishing history. During that time we have changed whole governments, but not a single person, as far as anyone is aware, has been harmed. But the US , with Australian government connivance, has killed thousands in the past few months alone.
US Secretary of Defence Robert Gates admitted in a letter to the US congress that no sensitive intelligence sources or methods had been compromised by the Afghan war logs disclosure. The Pentagon stated there was no evidence the WikiLeaks reports had led to anyone being harmed in Afghanistan . NATO in Kabul told CNN it couldn’t find a single person who needed protecting. The Australian Department of Defence said the same. No Australian troops or sources have been hurt by anything we have published.
But our publications have been far from unimportant. The US diplomatic cables reveal some startling facts:
The US asked its diplomats to steal personal human material and information from UN officials and human rights groups, including DNA, fingerprints, iris scans, credit card numbers, internet passwords and ID photos, in violation of international treaties. Presumably Australian UN diplomats may be targeted, too.
King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia asked the US Officials in Jordan and Bahrain want Iran ‘s nuclear program stopped by any means available.
Britain’s Iraq inquiry was fixed to protect “US interests”.
Sweden is a covert member of NATO and US intelligence sharing is kept from parliament.
The US is playing hardball to get other countries to take freed detainees from Guantanamo Bay . Barack Obama agreed to meet the Slovenian President only if Slovenia took a prisoner. Our Pacific neighbour Kiribati was offered millions of dollars to accept detainees.
In its landmark ruling in the Pentagon Papers case, the US Supreme Court said “only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government”. The swirling storm around WikiLeaks today reinforces the need to defend the right of all media to reveal the truth.
 
Julian Assange is the editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks.

Back to work

10 dias e uma constipação depois estou de volta ao trabalho. E nada melhor que começar com um turno da noite. Brrr, que frio!
Mas agora temos um super aquecedor que torna a minha noite muito mais confortável. Tenho bolachas deixadas pelos espanhóis que estavam cá ontem (sim, comecei ontem), porque eles são fofinhos e eu lhes dou vinho (comprar o amor do turista é uma das minhas qualidades).




E o melhor de trabalhar à noite? É que se vai à varanda e vê-se o Porto a amanhecer branco. Vou ver se logo de manha tiro uma super foto.

Pensavam que tinha morrido, não?
Nah, estive só ocupada a sobreviver à minha super constipação ali deitada no sofá a beber chá e a levar o meu pai à loucura.

14 anos depois...

... voltei a ficar doente.
Garganta dorida, nariz completamente bloqueado, dores de cabeça, síndrome de preguicite aguda e corpo enrolado em mantinhas e chá foram extremamente visíveis neste dia que passou. 
Estou a rezar para que passe rápido já que, após um ano entre estágios e trabalhos, estou finalmente de férias. Que belo início, hein?
10 pontos para mim por ter escolhido Turismo como carreira e nunca mais ter um Agosto como mês de férias. Yupi!

Todos os anos eu e os meus amigos fazemos festas temáticas (quem diz todos os anos, diz desde há uns tempos para cá).
Este ano o tema da passagem de ano vai ser: Personagens do Cinema.

Eu decidi fazer de Holly Golightly ( Audrey Hepburn) no Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Já tenho pérolas, luvas, pseudo-tiara, meias, sapatos e aquilo que segura os cigarros. Vestido é que nem vê-lo.
Desespero, ao que me levas.

Harry Potter

Eu não vou, sequer, desculpar-me ou tentar convencer alguém que seja contra (apesar de não ter lido) o mundo que é o Harry Potter.

Mas imaginem-se com nove anos. O Harry Potter não era conhecido, J. K. Rowling era um nome como tantos outros e não dizia nada a ninguém. E era pobre. Coitada, na altura nem devia imaginar. Mas vocês têm nove anos. São uma criança que a essa idade já tinha lido o Diário de Anne Frank (eu sou precoce, eu sei), na segunda classe deu uma tareia aos livros da Enid Blyton (a escritora de contos infantis preferida da minha mãe), já tinha andado a bater nas portas dos armários para tentar entrar em Nárnia e adorava o Senhor dos Aneis. Já para não falar em tantos outros livros. E estão em casa, a ver a Xena a Princesa Guerreira no vosso sofá preferido, quando chega o vosso tio, vindo de uma livraria qualquer, vos entrega um embrulho e diz: 'Olha, vi este livro, li a contra capa e acho que vais gostar'.
Mal eu sabia que estaria a pegar pela primeira vez numa primeira edição do Harry Potter e a Pedra Filosofal.
A capa é aquela toda desenhada, ainda com a ilustração inglesa. 
Ora, uma miúda como eu, que tem uma imaginação que lhe permite ter conversas na sua cabeça de teor que surpreenderia qualquer um, que adora Tolkien, têm de perceber.... Hogwarts e Diagon Alley eram um universo paralelo que me fascinou.
Implorei pelo segundo que, também ele, é uma primeira edição. Anos depois, já eu devia estar nos meus 12 anos, conheci alguém que tinha comprado os livros há pouco tempo. Estava na altura a sair o terceiro.
Depois disso, foram anos, a crescer mais ou menos na companhia do Harry, da Hermione, do Ron, o Dumbledore, o Hagrid, a professora McGonagall, o Sirius e outros.
É impossível explicar a alguém, principalmente gente da minha idade e mais velhos o que é o Harry Potter, o que é crescer, passar pelas aventuras que ele passou a par com o crescimento dele.

A partir daí, foi o fenómeno que se sabe. Eu não costumo ser de modas, mas caramba, na minha cabeça, eu fui quase pioneira!
Claro que a seguir vieram os filmes. Como fan (oh meu deus, estou a usar a palavra F), tive de ir ver. E fiquei desapontada. Claro, qualquer bom apreciador de livros, normalmente fica. O que eu achava mais incrível, é que eu não percebia como é que alguém, que não lesse os livros, percebesse alguma coisa do que se passava na história. E como tal, não entendia como é que tantas pessoas iam ver os filmes. Até que, ano após ano, filme, após filme e livro após livro, percebi. 
Os filmes, que nunca chegando aos calcanhares dos livros, foram melhorando muito e são a única e última coisa que temos para nos agarrarmos ao Harry e a sua luta com o Voldemort.
Sim, podemos reler e rever. Mas isto está a acontecer. Em tempo real. Agora. 
E o filme estreia amanha. E eu estou excitadíssima. 

São mais de 10 anos a adorar uma história e a vivê-la.
E vou ficar triste quando acabar.
É uma espécie de despedida. Não sei explicar.
E não quero saber, podem dizer o que quiserem, mas se um dia tiver filhos, aos 10 a passar para os 11 anos, vou-lhes dar Harry Potter para ler.

Pode não ser uma colecção de valor ou pragmatismo como muitas. A escrita não é, de certeza do nível de um Eça ou assim. Mas é bom. E se vocês evitarem pensar que é um livro para crianças ou que só dizem que é bom porque está na moda: vão gostar. Ou pelo menos vão ler e dizer que não gostaram.

E é isto que tenho a dizer. Estou mortinha por ir ver a primeira parte do último filme.

Interpol

Ontem, depois do trabalho, meti-me num comboio com o Sérgio e fomos rumo a Lisboa com Jerupiga na mochila e bom humor, para ver INTERPOL.
O concerto foi muito bom, pena o som do Campo Pequeno ser o que é. 
E depois de uma noite passada no Bairro Alto, nada como dormir a viagem de volta inteira!
Agora, adivinhem onde eu estou? No trabalho. A minha vida é dura. Ah, pois é.
Mas valeu a pena.
Aliás, estas coisas são para se fazer agora, enquanto sou jovem e irresponsável e o meu corpo ainda aguenta estas andanças. Sabe-se lá como vai ser daqui a uns anos.

The Big Fat Quiz of the Year!

Ontem fiz a descoberta do ANO!!!
Quer dizer, Inglaterra já a fez... pelo menos 6 anos atrás, mas eu fiz ontem. chama-se the Big Fat Quiz of the Year. E o que é? Bem, como o nome diz, é um programa em que há um quiz. Que deve ser o de maior duração deste tipo de programas que anda por aí. Que é que acontece? Escolhem artistas e comediantes conhecidos e juntam-nos todos para uma amena cavaqueira em tom de jogo num programa de duas horas sobre acontecimentos do ano em questão.
No meu super turno da noite, vi o 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 e comecei o 2009. O meu preferido tem de ser o de 2007. Estão lá pessoas que eu adoro: o David Mitchell, Rob Brydon, Lily Allen, Jonathan Ross, Noel Fielding e Russel Brand, apresendado pelo Jimmy Carr.

Eu já conhecia o trabalho do David, Jonathan e do Russel, e tenho a dizer, que fazem-me rir sempre! Então ver o Noel e o Russel de novo e o David com o Brydon, foi do caraças ( Sou uma pessoa que andou em letras e que, portanto, tem um vocabulário muito vasto, como se pôde ver)!

Tendo partilhado isto, vou deixar um video da 8ª parte do programa de 2007, só porque tem piada.

Hoje li uma notícia que me deixou triste:

Estúdios de cinema MGM declaram falência

Os estúdios de cinema Metro Goldwyn Mayer, cuja história em Hollywood remonta aos anos 1920, declararam oficialmente a falência, revelou a publicação "The Hollywood Reporter".
 
A empresa, que acumula dívidas superiores a quatro mil milhões de dólares (2,8 mil milhões de euros), entregou na quarta-feira num tribunal em Nova Iorque um documento estratégico para a reestruturação dos estúdios, depois de saldado o processo de bancarrota.
Na semana passada, os credores da Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM), entre os quais a empresa de produção de cinema Lionsgate, decidiram aprovar um plano para perdoar a dívida em troca de uma posição accionista quando os estúdios forem reestruturados.
Criada em 1924, a MGM possui um catálogo de cinema norte-americano de mais de quatro mil filmes, entre os quais "O feiticeiro de Oz", "E tudo o vento levou", "Ben-Hur" e os mais recentes filmes de James Bond e "Hobbit", de Peter Jackson.



Isto quer dizer que vou deixar de ver/ouvir o leão a rugir?

Nato takes down Arcade Fire gig

Security concerns' force Canadian band to cancel Portugal concert that coincided with Lisbon summit

Europe's most important military alliance has come between Arcade Fire and their Portuguese fans. The Canadians were forced to cancel an upcoming concert in Lisbon after officials intervened, citing "security concerns". The band's Atlantic Pavilion gig was due to take place during the same weekend as a Nato summit.
"The band are disappointed to be forced into this situation but there's nothing more we can do," said Scott Rodger, the group's manager, in a statement. Portuguese authorities claim security forces will be stretched too thin over 18-20 November to look after Montreal's indie stars and their tens of thousands of fans. Although the band reportedly proposed to bring the concert forward and play instead on 17 November, this offer was rebuffed.
According to the Publico newspaper, concert promoters Everything Is New have been negotiating since July with Portugal's ministry of foreign affairs, trying to squeeze the band past Nato's security cordons. But the Atlantic Pavilion is simply too close to Lisbon's International Fair site, which will host the summit for Nato heads of state and government.
Twenty thousand fans were said to have bought tickets to the show. Arcade Fire said they only heard of the troubles last weekend, and will try to "get back" to Portugal soon. Refunds are available at points of purchase from tomorrow.

Books & Stuff.

Quem me conhece sabe que eu leio. Muito. Bom ou mau, eu acabo sempre um livro ( o D. Quixote demorou quase 5 anos, mas também foi). Mas, ao ler muito, também leio coisas más. Só para manter os olhos distraídos e a imaginação ocupada.
Assim, entre muitas coisas que li ultimamente a Miss D. apresentou-me à senhora Sherrilyn Kenyon. Pois é. Foi amor.
São de leittura fácil, é certo. Mas são viciantes. Tanto que eu li a colecção dela dos Dark Hunters toda no mês de Agosto (são 20 e poucos livros, short stories e isso). Mês em que devia estar a preparar-me para o meu exame final. Mas ok. Uma pessoa precisa de um escape, certo?
Caramba! Já não me lembrava de ficar assim numa saga. E eu leio mais coisas, outras coisas,  diferentes, mais sérias ou culturais. Mas, caramba, estou sempre à espera do próximo. Só quero saber o que se passa e descobrir mais.
Se calhar, ter ficado com uma coisinha pelo Acheron não ajudou (dei à minha tartaruga o nome de Ash, que é o diminutivo que ele usa. É sinal de demência, não?)
Anyway. Pessoas que gostam de livros ao estilo de Stephen King: se quiserem tirar uma pausa de livros 'pesados' em que as cidades se revoltam contra as pessoas.... comam um Kit Kat e leiam. Pode não ser tão fascinante ou assustador, mas vai fazer-vos não querer acabar.
Fans de Tolkien: pah, ele é o meu herói (o Tolkien, digo) e o Hobbit e as Aventuras de Tom são dos meus livros preferidos, dêem-me algum crédito.
E posso continuar. 
É certo que duvido que os homens gostem (sim, tem romance. Tem até pormenores que eu não quero pensar que os estou a ler no autocarro a caminho do trabalho - mas, esqueçam lá o Nicholas Sparks. Esse é um menino.), mas as meninas vão gostar (mas por favor, tenham vida para além de sonharem com os meninos destes livros. Eles não vos vão aparecer à frente acorrentados ou em sonhos - ok, sonhos..se calhar deixo esta passar).

Estes livros são uma espécie de teia. É preciso ler todos. Até agora, apesar de gostar de todos o do Acheron é o meu preferido. Isto é, a primeira parte. A segunda já anda na linha do resto da colecção.

E agora vocês perguntam: Claudinha, porque estás a escrever sobre esta senhora que só pensou em escrever porque ficou desempregada e os livros não adicionam nada ao nosso desenvolvimento e felicidade?
É fácil, meus amigos. São divertidos. Eu gosto deles. E já tenho o Bad Moon Rising e o No Mercy, que são os últimos que saíram.
E desafio qualquer mulher a não ter uma crush literária por uma das personagens (eu fui conquistada por todos, na verdade. Mas mantenho-me fiel ao Ash)

E agora, vou ver como é que o Fang e a Aimee ficam juntos.

Faculdade

Esta é a semana da FAP.
Para quem não é do Porto (quem é daqui ou estuda aqui, sabe de certeza) é a Federação Académica do Porto.
A FAP é a força motora de eventos como a Noite Negra, Comboio do Caloiro e a nossa, muito amada, Queima das Fitas em Maio.
Nesta semana, completamente dedicada a actividades Praxísticas, a cidade do Porto vai encher-se de Doutores e Caloiros a correr.
Porque estou a mencionar isto?
Porque, como se sabe, eu acabei o curso há pouquíssimo tempo e, apesar de já não pertencer oficialmente nestas coisas ( a Queima é que ninguém me tira), os melhores anos que tive passaram-se lá. Claro que entre os amigos e as bebedeiras, o melhor da Faculdade foi o Erasmus, mas isso está incluído.
Assim, achei que era bonito fazer menção a esta semana.
Além disso, o facto de trabalhar numa zona universitária, com o famoso café Piolho já ao virar da esquina e a Reitoria aqui ao lado, estas são coisas que não se deixam passar.

Ahhhh, como tenho saudades de jogar o belo do Poquer na esplanada da Faculdade (com uma bela vista para a cidade do Porto e a ribeira) a beber a Super Bock e os tremoços. Saudades dos amigos e das festas. Saudades de passar um dia inteiro no Corteja à espera de Passar a Tribuna. Até das aulas de Francês Aplicado em que o que menos se falava era francês o tema que nos aplicávamos mais eram os preços da Remax porque o nosso professor trabalhava lá.
Saudades das noites de estudo em casa do Nuno. Saudades do David a dizer-me que íamos ser amigos para sempre numa das primeiras vezes em que fomos a um jantar académico ( e é verdade, ainda agora que acabou, ele já foi para Espanha e eu, pelos vistos a caminho de Londres, nos encontramos e falamos de tudo, sobre tudo e é, ainda hoje, um dos meus melhores amigos).
Saudades de ver o Hugo na praxe a sofrer. Saudades da Anabela, que faz jus ao nome!
Saudades do Francisco, que agora está na Polónia a reviver o nosso período lá.
Saudades de muita gente. De muitas coisas.
Estou feliz por ter acabado. Mas porra, dá saudades de ver aquelas caras sorridentes!

Andrea said yes. It as fluffy gray little thing that was scared most of the time.
But from there on, Ms Ellis started to ask for other things.
Meanwhile the internship was going well, she talked with Shane Carols and had been accepted as an assistant.
Through Shane, she started to inderectly work for Ms Ellis. Being even more compromised.
And that where it led. Another night picking something up from a storage room.
It was always small things. Books, exchanges, things like that. Part of the job, she thought.
But this night, this particular night, she had gotten into a fight with her father. Maybe that's way the people she saw always led to darker thoughts.
She kept walking though. It was only three more blocks and she will be there. The rain had stopped and that lightened her mood.
Andrea quickened her steps. The faster she got there the better.

She felt the first drop of rain and covered her head with her arms. Damn, she would need a sweater. She started to run. Passing by a barbers shop she found protection from the water there. She looked through the window to the colourful walls and handsome boys and haristyles posters.
She wondered about her life. How her father used to go to Patricks for a hair cut. It was very similar to this shop. Maybe a little more blue-ish. How he always got home smeling of aftershave.
She shook her head chasing away those thoughts. She had a mission and needed to keep going. She resumed her walking as the rain thined and eventually stopped.
It was still very strange to think about what she had to do. First of all, she didn't understand the orders right away. Second... It was so easy, why was it feeling so strange now?
She worked for Ms. Ellis. She had called her several times the last few years. Deliver this, go get that, make a phone call to this number at this time.
She knew, it was suspicious and probably, Ms. Ellis was connected with some major drug business or some kind of mafia. In truth, she needed the money. And she pays. Oh if she pays. 
Ms Ellis lived in one of these fancy rich neighbourhoods outside the main district. She drove an SUV because, she said: ' drivers will only slow us down when you really need them to be fast and efficient'. Andrea also felt she owed it to the woman to do these little favours. It had been her who saved her father from bankrupcy. Not on purpose. At least not that she knew. Until the afternoon she met her.

They were at this little caffe downtown. A cozy little caffe with pastel colours and light paintings. Ms Ellis was using a beije business suit and an absurdly expensive brown and gold Prada handbag. Andrea's father had called her to to meet Ms Ellis beacuse he had a cough. He always had had lung problems. She agreed. It was on her way home from the university and classes were over for the day.
She remebered feeling shabby with her jeans and bordeaux halter top, while standing seated in front of the classy woman. Ms Ellis appeared to be in her thirties, with weavy brown hair and classic makeup.
She told her she needed to buy her fathers drugstore. Mr. Ronald had worked there all his life, but the business had been very low since five years ago. He hardly made any profit since then, and only kept the store because it was already paid for and he needed to do something in order to feel healthy. 'What am I going to do with these old lungs? Nobody woukd hire me kid', he often said to her.
So she got a job. Her father didn't allow her to pay for his bills - 'the moment I don't have money to eat, then we will have a problem, for now, I'm good' - but now, she payed for her own things.
She had been studying languanges and literature. Not a very profitable future, but she had confidence in her skills. Maybe someday she would even write a book! For now, she had just been granted an internship at book editor company.
Ms Ellis, apparently, knew who she was the moment she opened the door. The woman  greeted her with a small smile and a short nod.
- I've been thinking about buying your fathers property.
Well, talk about being direct,
- I know he's been living there for a long time and the shop is his pride. But let's face it. I know the market is bad. Ehy not think about it?
She presented a paper. A very tinny paper for the number that was scribbled.
Andrea tilted her head and headed home.

Ms Ellis presented them a house. Mr. Ronald was thrilled. He could retire. Nevertheless, Andrea found it strange and tried to convince him to look somewhere else. But just like that, everything started to be very exepensive or already taken. Mr. Ronald decided to take the place.
Ms Ellis was pleased to help. Afterall, she had just put someone out of work without endangering his situation.
Andrea, still not confortable with the deal, went to open the door on a sunday afternoon. Her father was playing poker with his friends and she had some research to do. It was few months after the moving. Ms Ellis was there. With a red designer suit. Again, Andrea tugged at her clothes, pretending she didn't care what the woman thought.
- I remembered you last week. Did you know I own Klein's Books and The Merge?
The Merge was a huge company, that selled about everything cultural. Books, Cinema, Music. The Merge was even the company that bought the theatres in the district and was now known to be expanding to other areas.
- I understand you are currently enrolled in the internship on Klein's?
- I am, I've started some time ago.
- Perfect, do you like it ther?
- Yes ma'am.
- Good, good, have you met Shane Carols? The directors assistant? - Andrea nodded 
After that, they talked about trivial things. 'She could be an add for politness', Andrea thought. Every sentence was delivered in the right tone, with the expected reaction. Still, she kind of liked the woman.
She sounded in need to be perfect or something Andrea couldn't explain. Maybe it was the cost of living in a perfect world, she thought.
After that afternoon, the tension flattened and Andrea started to talk on a irregular basis with Ms Ellis. Always calling her by Ms Ellis and the woman always calling her Andrea. The respect was there. Andrea knew her place.

One day, Ms Ellis called her. And asked her if she could keep her cat in Andrea's house.
